Design Services

The design plan is the key to a successful landscape. A good design takes a great deal of thought and observation. The property site analysis is crucial to locate existing plants, to determine what plants and materials are appropriate for the function and sustainability of the site, irrigation, property grade, utilities, drainage, light and soil conditions, property access, and any other site conditions as necessary. I consider the long-term evolution of the landscape, taking into account mature plant sizes, changing light conditions, longevity of materials, accessibility and management.

My goal is to create a design that is not only aesthetically pleasing but ecologically functional. To achieve that goal may take several weeks to several months depending on the scale and complexity of your project. Creating a trusting relationship with my clients through open and positive communication is crucial to the project outcome. The design process is truly a collaboration between myself and clients. My role involves gathering all necessary information and translating it to create a landscape plan that you can appreciate for a lifetime.
